Start Your Own Website Business For Under $300

No matter how much you know, or don't know, about web site design it is important to know that the process of creating a website involves several steps. It is also important to know that all of these steps have to be done before the site can be put up on the internet. Most newbies, or internet beginners, have no idea exactly what has to be done to get a web site of any kind online. One thing is clear, however, they do know that they want one because everyone else has one and also because they've heard all those get rich quick stories about internet web site millionaires.

In this article I'm going to assume that you're a beginner to the internet or someone who is not an expert at any degree. I plan to map out exactly what you'll need to do at a minimum, step-by-step, to help you get your own website up and online right away. I also plan on giving you my best suggestion of the absolute best place online that is both beginner friendly and filled with everything you'll ever need and more to create the best website possible for you and your readers at the end, so read on.

First things first, the very first thing you need to do is to decide what you want your website to be about generally speaking. Sounds simple enough but you'll be surprised by just how many people skip this. My best advice for you is to make a list of things you really like and are interested in. Hobbies? What do you like to read about? Think about? Talk about? Put all of these on your list.

It's important to make your website about something that you're really interested in otherwise you'll lose interest in it quickly and your website will fade. You'll have to write content often to grow your website.

Next, it's time to start building the actual website. First, you'll need a place to put your web site and a name people can find you at. I would encourage you to get a web host and buy a domain name at the same time to cut down on a few steps.

"What are domain names and web hosts?" A very good question. Think of it this way: a web host allows you a rental space on their computer to put all your websites files - images, pages, etc. It's kind of like renting an apartment or house to put all your regular stuff - you pay the web host a monthly (or yearly) fee to keep your web site files safe and your website up and running all day long, all week long, all year long.

Your own individual domain name is a name that is unique to your website alone. No other web site online has this same name - only you. This domain name is what users type into their web site browser to find your website on the internet. If you don't have a web site host or a domain name then you simply you can't have a website. You could get a free website somewhere - it is possible - but I would never recommend you doing that if you want to be taken seriously online.

You could shop around and find a reputable web host that will offer you a free domain name as a part of their plan but if you're new to the web it could take you some time and it could be a very arduous process. Cheaper is not always better. Let me repeat that: cheaper is not always better. Research a few web hosts, compare plans, ask questions and see what kinds of responses you get. Above all else to a beginner, good customer service and technical help is invaluable. You want to pick a company that you can have a good and long lasting relationship with right from the start if at all possible since it is a real pain to have to switch around later if you don't make the right choice the first time. So choose very, very carefully.

As a web designer, one company I can recommend to you that is absolutely excellent in all respects of web site hosting is called SiteBuildIt (SBI). SBI offers an all-in-one package that is fantastic for the website designer - whether you are a beginner or not. You get everything here you'll ever need and more - a domain name, colorful website templates, unlimited great customer support, the ability to create newsletters, your own blog, brainstorming and research tools, webhosting account, a personal email account, point and click site-building, a form builder, a money back guarantee and much, much more. And that's only scratching the surface. Want more info on SiteBuildIt ?

So, you could go out and purchase all the things you'd need to create a website separately - HTML software, FTP software, keyword research tools, website templates, etc - or, you could use my favorite option which I've saved for last, and get everything you'll ever need and more to build a great website. And everything is located all in one place: at SiteBuildIt (SBI)! SBI offers an all-in-one package that is fantastic for the website designer - whether you are beginner or not.

So the choice is up to you: do it yourself, step by step, buying the various tools you'll need at several different locations all over the web and with separate pieces of software, or do it all in one location with everything you'll ever need and more. I can honestly tell you that as a website designer that I have several traditional websites as well as several SBI websites. If I were to compare the two, the SBI sites I have always come out on top (and with much less effort on my part due to all SBI does for it's users in the background).

If you plan on building a website, I highly suggest SBI as the best in their field! Want more info on SiteBuildIt ? Check it out for yourselves by clicking the SBI link here - http://www.pedigreedpups.com/buildawebsite.html or the one in my author bio. Believe me - SBI! changes lives!
